Here more info about this artist...

Kiko Veneno was born in Figueres (Girona) on April 3rd 1952, but his musical history was born in Sevilla, where he moved with his family when he was 9 years old.

Nobody has mixed the southern sounds with flamenco and pop like Kiko. He has created a personal language within his music, which, although has been copied a thousand times, the magic that Kiko creates is rarely captured by others.

The lengendary album called Veneno, featuring Kiko with Raimundo and Rafael Amador, was one of the most revolutionary records ever recorded in Spain; But as a solo artist, it has been a bittersweet road for Kiko.

In 1979 he collaborated with Camarón de la Isla, the famous gypsy flamenco singer, on the classic album La leyenda del tiempo. In 1982 he published his first solo album Seré Mecánico por Ti, which had a poor commercial performance.

The most successful part of his career started in 1992 when he signed BMG-Ariola and released his albums Échate un cantecito (1992) and Está muy bien eso del cariño, both produced by Joe Dworniak. The first album produced several hits like “En Un Mercedes Blanco” and “Joselito”. The success of these albums allowed him to devote himself full-time to music.

In 2006 he formed the group G5 along Los Delinqüentes, Tomasito and Muchachito Bombo Infierno.

He was awarded the National Prize fourth Contemporary Music 2012. Jurors emphasized his “decisive contribution for more than three and half decades the integration of Hispanic and international musical traditions, spreading the compass, enriched with wit and poetic quality format popular song” .

Kiko Veneno has now released his last album “Sensación Térmica” on 2013, with a lot of good vibrations and succes.
