Inspired by Traditional Afro Caribbean Music from Curaçao and European Dance, Kuenta i Tambú (also known as KiT) has created a brand new sound! They cleverly found a balance between electronic sound samples, singing and chanting and the infectious rhythms played by ritual tambú drums.
Some call it Global Bass, others prefer labeling it Tambutronic but one thing is for sure: it’s a wild and colorful explosion of energy, and always seems to set off some serious movements on the dancefloor!
Kuenta i Tambú translates to “Stories and Drums” from Papiamentu, which is the language spoken on the islands of Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire (Dutch Antilles).

A natural talent, young but very self-confident, rooted in the culture of reggae but also versatile with a solid musical culture. She dominates many stages and sound system in Italy & abroad (Miami, Los Angeles and in several club in London & festival in Europe) with his incredible expansion and strong expressiveness of the voice, she is appreciated in different musical contexts and stylistic.
From his first single in 2007, through his first two albums, “B-Lady” in 2009 and “90” in 2011 up to the many collaborations with different artists, Mama Marjas has become a star of the Italian reggae and more, the most in demand and expectation among young artists.
The live show habitual is an overwhelming journey through all the rhythmic sounds of mother Africa, from reggae roots and dancehall to soca, to kuduru, hip hop, blues and soul music. Along with Marjas on stage, DJ Don Ciccio and the second entry Miss Mykela, percussion and the Caribbean choreography of dancehall.

Born of the roaring thunder and crashing lightning, The Summer Rebellion recalls the burning flames of yesteryear and heralds the coming storm, when the slaves will open their eyes and see the truth through the failing summer sun. With the cavernous voice of David Koczij and thunderous accordion of Arthur Bacon, The Summer Rebellion arouses strong emotions with their particular brand of wild carnival freak song. Step right up and witness the modern day harbingers of the message, the truth and the dirt beneath the fingernails of our everyday saints.

It’s very hard to put in words the magnificient, raw, happy, outrageous, funny mix of reggae and rock of the duo. Born as pure divértissement, the game became an ablaze roundabout, free expression of two guys, jumpin’ in the streets of bruxelles, with nothing to lose. Their sets are like a stumbling, dirty-epic emotional rescue that open hidden windows, stupid, lost train between forgotten hills. From Napoli to Brussels, strictly influenced by Lee “Scratch” Perry and Maradona a mix of heavy bass, from reggae to breakbeat.

✏ DYNAMIC (Mrt-Be-Usa) ♫
From a lucid and conscious rapper to an entertainer, DYnamic juggles dancefloor and hip hop and tackles serious issues including parental responsibility, illegal immigration, relationships, and AIDS with depth and realness. The common denominator is hip hop, but DYnamic doesn’t hesitate to delve into ragga, dubstep, rock, RnB, soul and acoustic sounds. International artists such as Sizzla Kalonji (Jamaican living legend of reggae dancehall) or Kromestar (one of the biggest names in UK dubstep) join DYnamic on his musical adventure. On stage and in his albums, DYnamic uses his artistic expression in a therapeutic way to guide us through our deepest emotions.

He switched the warm grooves of funk, soul and jazz for hot latin and afro rhythms after his exotic trips on the search of that perfect record. Founder of the Tropical and Twist parties, resident at Strictly Niceness, radiohost on FM Brussel every sunday and responsible for the tropical selection on the 22tracks website (Brussels), Funky Bompa experiments his finds in original version or personal edits, vinyl only. If we had to define Bernard l’Hermite with one word, probably that would be “versatile”. His eclectic identity is the product of his different trips and projects in different cities, from the Republic of San Marino to NYC, Brighton, Sidney and Lusaka. Only one thing is sure. He readapts himself to the place and crowd that he finds, as a hermit crab changes his shells. And groove is the only leitmotiv.
You may have heard one of his eclectic sets at Bonnefooi or at Indie Room. For this special night he prepared a Sparkling Purifying Disco-funky Sexy Selection for the women’s toilets. Get ready for DISCOILET, ladies!

He’s been our resident photographer since nearly the beginning of Antitapas. Later, we found out he’s got other talents: he’s a true music and sound lover and has a 6th sense for cutting at the right moment, just like in movies. As required for his photographer’s work, he’s capable of capturing the atmosphere of a place and moment and translate it into sound or picture. For this Primavera edition, he’s preparing a global sound collage that will make all sorts of images sparkle in your mind, much like the memory of a travel that is still to come. Played for Buzz on Your Lips, Museum Night Fever 2013, Bonnefooi, Bokal Royal 123, Radio Vibration, BSSX (Serbia), Yuma Bar (Berlin).
